Deadline Extended to December 5 for HFA's 2025 Employee Compensation & Benefits Survey
The survey is open to owners and operators of health and fitness facilities in the US and Canada.

The Health & Fitness Association (formerly IHRSA) is conducting the first Employee Compensation & Benefits Survey of the US and Canadian fitness industry since 2018. The results of this survey will provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date picture of pay, benefits, and staffing structures across health clubs, gyms, studios, and other fitness facilities.
Why Participate?
With persistent staffing challenges across the sector, this survey will help address the questions operators face every day
- How does our pay and benefits package compare to other clubs in our segment, region, revenue tier, etc.?
- As we add new roles, what does fair and competitive compensation look like today?
- Where can we make targeted adjustments to attract and retain the talent we need?
- How do we ensure our compensation strategy balances competitiveness and ROI?
Participation strengthens both your business and the broader industry:
- Benchmark your business: Participants receive a free copy of the 2025 Fitness Industry Employee Compensation & Benefits Report.
- Inform smarter decisions: Use reliable benchmarks to shape pay structures, guide workforce planning, and support recruitment and retention.
- Support industry advocacy: Comprehensive data helps HFA demonstrate to policymakers that fitness facilities are essential employers across North America.
- HFA Show 2026 Access: Complete the survey by December 5 for a chance to win one of five all-access passes to The HFA Show 2026 in San Diego for you and a guest (up to $1,750 value).
